Gardaí arrest two men after intercepting car taken in burglary

Gardaí investigating burglaries and car thefts in Co Carlow have arrested two men in Dublin.

Gardaí intercepted a 4x4 and another car on the Naas Road at around 4.30am this morning and arrested the two drivers.

The two men in their 30s are being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at Carlow Garda Station.

Officers said the 4x4 was taken earlier during a burglary in Co. Carlow.

In a follow-up search at an apartment complex in Tallaght a third car, believed to have been taken in a burglary in Tullow on August 3, was seized.
