Gardaí arrest 17-year-old over Waterford fire

Gardaí in Waterford have arrested a 17-year-old man in connection with a house fire in Ballbeg last week.

Three children were injured in the incident which happened at Ardmore Park last Thursday night.

The teenager is being detained under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act at Waterford Garda Station.

A 23-year-old man appeared in court charged in connection with the fire last week.

He was remanded in custody to appear in court again this week.

Gardaí are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the incident to come forward.
