Gardaí appeal for witnesses to Longford stabbing

Gardaí are looking for witnesses after a man in his 20s was injured in a stabbing in Longford town.

It happened at around 6.30pm yesterday evening.

The man was taken to Mullingar Hospital for treatment, where his injuries were described as "not life-threatening".

A second man involved in the incident left the scene on foot.
