Gardaí appeal for witnesses to crash at Merrion Gates

Gardaí in Dublin are appealing for witnesses to an incident in Dublin this morning in which overhead railway lines were destroyed.

A flatbed lorry collided with the level crossing at Merrion Gates and tore a section of the overhead line shortly after 9am.

As a result DART services between Landsdowne Road and Dun Laoghaire have been suspended.

The Dublin to Gorey or Rosslare services are also affected and will operate with bus transfers between Dublin and Bray.
