Gardaí appeal for witnesses to an assault on Cow's Lane, Dublin

Gardaí are investigating a violent disorder/assault incident which occurred on Cow's Lane, Dublin 2 on September 10, during which a man in his 20’s died.

Two women both aged in their early 20's have been arrested in connection with this investigation.

The women were detained at Pearse Street Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

One of the women has been released from Garda custody without charge.

A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The second woman remains in Garda custody.

Investigating Gardaí continue to appeal to any persons who may have witnessed the incident or were in the vicinity of Cow’s Lane between 8.30pm and 9pm on September 10.

It is believed that some witnesses took images of this incident as it occurred and Gardaí are appealing to all persons to contact them at Pearse Street Garda Station at 016669000, The Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
