Gardaí appeal for witnesses after man dies in Mullingar accident

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a serious crash which claimed the life a man in Co. Westmeath yesterday.

The victim, who was in his late 20s, was taken to the Midland Regional Hospital in Tullamore where he was later pronounced dead.

Another man remains in a critical condition in hospital this morning following the single vehicle crash on the Killucan Road outside Mullingar.

A third occupant of the car sustained non-life threatening injuries.
