Gardaí appeal for witnesses after Clondalkin assault

Gardaí in Dublin are today appealing for witnesses to a serious assault in Clondalkin.

A 33-year-old man received head injuries during the incident which happened at Melrose Avenue at 4.30pm yesterday afternoon.

He was taken to hospital in Tallaght and has since been transferred to Beaumont Hospital where he is said to be in a serious condition.

Gardaí are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and who witnessed anything.
