Gardaí are appealing for information on a car believed to have been used in a shooting in Tallaght.

An occupant of a Silver VW Passat fired a number of shots at a 06-D blue Mazda at about 8.30pm last night in the Parkhill West area.

The driver of the Mazda received serious but non-life threatening injuries and drove himself to Tallaght Hospital.

The Passat was found a short time later partially burned out at Benmadigan Road in Drimnagh.

Anyone who witnessed the shooting or who saw the car last evening is asked to contact Gardaí.
