Gardaí appeal for information after Templeogue hit-and-run

Gardaí in Dublin have issued an appeal for information from the public in relation to a hit-and-run in the city in the early hours of this morning.

A male cyclist travelling on the Templeogue Road was hit from behind by an unknown vehicle that failed to stop at around 1.45am.

He received serious injuries and was removed to St James' hospital.

It is believed that the offending vehicle would be missing its passenger side door mirror.

Gardaí said they were anxious to speak to anybody who may have been in the Templeogue road area between 1.30am and 2am today.

They are also anxious to speak to the driver of a red Ford Focus which was seen in the area at the time.
