Gardaí appeal for information after finding €140k of heroin in open boot of car

Gardaí in Dublin are appealing for information about a suspicious car, in which €140,000 worth of heroin was discovered.

Gardaí at Mountjoy Garda station received a call about a green Ford Focus that was parked on Portland Street North on Tuesday.

They say the boot of the car was open when they arrived at the scene, and officers then discovered two packages of heroin on the spare tyre.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses, or anyone who may have seen anybody acting suspiciously around this car, between the hours of 11.30am and 1pm yesterday, to contact them at Mountjoy Garda Station or on the Garda Confidential Line.
