Gardai appeal for information about Barry death

Gardaí have issued a renewed appeal for information about the death of Waterford pensioner Paddy Barry.

The 82-year-old grandfather of entertainer Keith Barry died in hospital yesterday after being left unconscious following a burglary at his home in the Mount Sion area of the city last week.

Gardaí say the preliminary findings of a post mortem on his body contain no specific evidence of an assault.

Detectives are appealing for anyone with information about the burglary to come forward and say they particularly want to speak to two teenage girls who were seen in the area around the time of the incident.
