Garda launch appeal after man’s body washes up in Co Clare

Gardaí are investigating after a man’s body was found washed up in Kinvara, Co Clare.

The man is described as between 50 and 70 years old with reddish hair, receding hair line and blue eyes.

The man’s body was found on the rocks at Aughinish, Kinvara at approximately 8.50pm last Sunday, June 19.

He was wearing blue Marks and Spencers pyjamas, a Grey v-neck jumper and pin striped trousers as well as a jacket with an Irish Action Autism badge.

A local doctor was called and the man was pronounced dead at 10pm at scene.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone with any information to contact Gort Garda station on 091-636400.
