Galway residents to discuss Household Charge

A number of public meetings about the Household Charge are taking place across Galway this evening.

Government sources claim only 6,000 homes out of 90,000 in Galway have registered to pay the new tax.

Campaigners believe the charge is likely to rise to €800 by next year, which excludes a proposed €500 in water charges.
