Fog warning in place for several counties

Met Éireann has issued a status yellow fog warning for Leinster, Cavan and Monaghan.

Fog is affecting visibility around Carlow, Kildare, Louth, Kilkenny City and Waterford, while freezing fog is a problem around Trim in Meath.

AA Roadwatch is reporting ice and frost in a number of areas - with extra care advised in Limerick City, Thurles, Letterkenny and Ballyshannon in Co Donegal.

The yellow fog alert will remain in place until later this morning.
