Gardaí have arrested five people today in connection with an incident in which a six-year-old Limerick girl was shot in the leg with a pellet gun.
The girl was caught in the crossfire when shots were discharged between two vehicles in the Keyes Park area on Saturday.
She was taken to hospital, but was discharged a short time later as her injuries were not serious.
This morning, gardaí arrested four men and one woman in Limerick and Tipperary in connection with the incident.
They range in age from their late teens to their mid-30s.
