Firefighters battle Antrim gorse blaze

A one kilometre-wide gorse fire has broken out in Co Antrim.

Eight fire appliances and 48 firefighters were battling the blaze this afternoon on land near Craig’s Forest, Finvoy, Ballymoney, the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service said.

Firefighting operations were likely to continue well into the evening.
