Fire fighters tackle blaze in Clare

Fire crews are tackling a fire at a bar and restaurant in Co. Clare.

The blaze at Aylmers Rest at Turnpike Road in Ennis broke out at 8.30am this morning.

Four units of the Ennis and Shannon Fire Brigade brought the fire under control, but a short time after they left the blaze re-ignited and spread to the roof.

Six units of the fire brigade returned to the scene at 2pm this afternoon and remain on site.

No-one was injured, and gardaí believe the fire started accidentally.
