Fingleton apology 'not good enough', says Burton

A senior Labour Party figure has said that former Irish Nationwide chief Michael Fingleton's apology is simply not good enough.

Labour Deputy Leader Joan Burton was commenting following an interview yesterday in which the former Irish Nationwide Boss said he was sorry about the effect of the banking crisis on the country.

Mr Fingleton admitted he had a sense of remorse about what happened as a result of events at Nationwide, however he failed to comment on his failure to return his €1m bonus as promised.
