Fifty people picked to watch the Winter Solstice in Newgrange

Fifty lucky winners have been chosen to witness the annual Winter Solstice inside the Newgrange Chamber in Co Meath this year.

A lottery for the places takes place every year.

More than 30,000 people applied this year from all around the world with winners this year from California, South Africa, Australia, Cork and Antrim.
