FG: Oil prices 14% higher in Ireland

Fine Gael is demanding immediate action to tackle the huge cost of home heating oil in Ireland.

The party says home heating oil prices in Ireland are 14% higher than the EU average.

It says Irish families would be spending €50m less every year if prices were equal.

Fine Gael has written to the Director of the Consumer Protection Agency seeking an investigation into the price differential.
