Fatal collision in Laois claims life of man, 45

A 45-year-old man has been killed in a road crash in Co Laois.

The incident happened at Knockaroo in Borris in Ossory on the M7 southbound this morning at 6.30am when the vehicle he was driving collided with crash barriers.

Following an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, the road has now re-opened.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact Portlaoise Garda station on 057 8674100 with any information.
