€120k worth of ecstasy tablets seized in Co Cork

Ecstasy tablets with an estimated street value of €120,000 were seized in Mitchelstown, Cork yesterday.

The tablets were seized as part of an ongoing operation into the sale and supply of illegal drugs.

Gardaí from Fermoy carried out a planned search of Captain Keanes Grove, Mitchelstown Cork where they discovered the illegal drugs.

Following the search, the Fermoy Gardaí then discovered a small amount of cannabis herb and cocaine, along with drug paraphernalia at a house in Liam Lynch Park, Mitchelstown.

A woman has been arrested in connection with the seizures and was released from custody and a file has been sent to the DPP.
