€11,000 worth of cigarettes and tobacco seized in Dublin raid

€11,000 worth of illegal cigarettes and tobacco have been seized in Dublin.

It followed a revenue search of two homes in the Dublin 7 area at around 10pm last night.

13,000 cigarettes and 8.8 kilos of tobacco were recovered as part of an intelligence led operation targeting the illegal cigarette trade on Moore Street in Dublin city centre.

Revenue has said investigations are ongoing and a file is being prepared for prosecution.
