Elderly woman killed in Bangor road collision

A woman in her 90s has been killed after being hit by a car in Bangor.

The incident happened at around 11.30am while the woman was out walking on the Donaghadee Road, close to its junction with Groomsport Road.

She was taken to Ulster Hospital at Dundonald, where she died a short time later.

The PSNI in Bangor are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision to contact them.

The road remains closed.
