Elderly woman dies in road collision

A 75 year-old woman has died following a collision in Co Down.

The two-car crash happened on the A2 dual carriageway between Bangor and Holywood at Carney Hill at around 2.10pm.

The woman was the driver of one of the cars.

The male driver of the second car was taken to hospital for treatment to non-life threatening injuries.

The road remains closed as the PSNI carry out an examination.
