Elderly man dies after tractor hits ditch in Co Wicklow

A man in his 80's has lost his life in a crash in county Wicklow.

His tractor struck a ditch and overturned at Ballycullen near Ashford at about 11.30am this morning.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was later removed to Loughlinstown Hospital for a post mortem examination.

A forensic examination of the scene is continuing this evening and the road is closed to traffic.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information to contact them at Wicklow Garda Station on 0404-60140.
