Dublin sees off 11 other cities to secure 300 Sage jobs

Dublin has beaten off 11 other European cities for 300 new jobs in technology company Sage.

The company announced the roles today at a new centre in Sandyford in the south of the city.

Sage already employs 250 people here.

The new jobs will be in sales, marketing and services.

CEO of Sage Stephen Kelly said: "We've built out a strategy around the custom business centres in Dublin.

"We selected Dublin from 12 cities that we looked at very seriously to be the digital hub (and) the service, sales and marketing hub for all our customers across Europe.

"This will fuel our growth and our customers growth and help them run their businesses."
