Dublin Gardaí make arrest in connection with armed robbery

Gardaí in Dublin have arrested a man in his 20s in connection with the armed robbery of a cash-in-transit van on the north side of the city today.

It happened at about 9.30am this morning at Donaghmede Shopping Centre when a lone gunman threatened security staff as they transferred cash.

He made off with an undisclosed sum of money in a silver Volkswagen Scirocco.

A man in his 20s was arrested in Kinsealy during follow-up searches a short time later and is being detained at Coolock Garda Station.
