Dublin gardaí investigate fatal road crash

Gardaí in Dublin are appealing for witnesses to a fatal road crash on the N11 in Cabinteely yesterday that claimed the life of a man in his late seventies.

The crash - between a car and an ambulance - happened at the junction of Johnstown Road and the N11 just before 1pm.

The man - who was being transported to St Vincent's Hospital at the time of the crash - was taken to Loughlinstown Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

A passenger in the ambulance and the driver of the car were also injured in the crash.
