Dublin City Councillors reject bin charge proposals

Dublin City Councillors have voted against plans to change how we pay for our waste disposal.

According to the Irish Times, the authority is calling on the Government to bring rubbish collection back under its remit.

The newspaper reports tonight's meeting of the authority heard calls for the creation of a waste regulator.
