Device explodes under car in Dublin

Gardaí are investigating a device which partially exploded under a car in west Dublin.

Residents heard a small explosion on Rosefield Park in Tallaght shortly after 6.30pm yesterday evening.

Gardaí found a gas canister which had been set on fire and partially exploded, but say the car wasn't damaged in the incident.

The device has been taken away to be examined.
