Details of EU payments to Irish farmers are due to be made available to the public on the Department of Agriculture's website today.
The move will cover a number of schemes under which farmers can claim payments from EU funds, including the Rural Environment Protection Scheme and the Farm Improvement Scheme.
However, details of this year's "single farm payments" will not be available until next April.
The release of the information has been criticised by farming groups and opposition political parties, who have described it as an invasion of privacy and an example of "bureaucracy gone mad".
The European Commission, however, says the payments come from taxpayers' money and everybody is entitled to know how this money is spent.
