Derry police investigate sexual assault on girl, 17

Police in Derry are investigating the report of a sexual assault in the St Columbs Park area on Friday night.

The 17-year-old girl was in the area of the park around midnight when she was allegedly approached by an unknown man and assaulted.

He is described as being aged in his 30s.

Police are appealing for anyone that was in the area at the time to contact them.
