Derry couple unlikely to face child neglect charges

Judicial sources say it is unlikely a Northern Irish couple on holiday in Portugal will face charges of neglecting their children.

The couple from Co Derry allegedly got so drunk on Friday they passed out.

Their children who are aged one, two and six years of age were temporarily taken into care.

Police, hospital and social services reports are now expected to be put together.
