Darina says No to fracking

Darina Allen revealed her antifracking credentials today, showing her support of Love Leitrim and the antifracking campaign in Ireland.

'Keep up the good work' she said of the movements efforts to date, as she listened to concerns of campaigners who informed her of updates regarding oil and gas provider CDM Smith conducting research on behalf of the EPA, as well as the news that New York had banned the industry.

Darina who was in Leitrim to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Organic Centre, which she was a founding member shared how she loved coming back to Leitrim and explained how the buttercups in the fields were wonderful as they were become rarer through intensive farming practises elsewhere, but that still very much prevalent in leitrim.

She said that tourist agencies should promote this unspoilt beauty.
