CSO: Live Register figures stay at 14% in April

The Central Statistics Office has reported a small drop in dole queues last month.

New Live Register figures for April show a drop of one hundred on March with 426,900 signing on.

It leaves the Standaradised Unemployment Rate unchanged at 14%, though that is down from 14.9% on a year ago.

The report said that the number of long-term unemployed on the Live Register in April 2013 was 186,063, giving an overall annual increase of 2,010 or 1.1%.
