Crumlin hospital staff to protest against possible job cuts

Staff members are to stage a demonstration outside Our Lady's Hospital in Crumlin today to protest at possible job cuts.

The IMPACT trade union claims the HSE is planning to lay off 120 temporary and agency staff at the children's hospital in order to rein in a budget overspend.

The union says the move will inevitably lead to a reduction in services and longer waiting times for treatment and operations.
