Crash pensioner dies

A pensioner died in hospital this morning following a three vehicle collision on Tuesday.

John Finnerty, 88, of Mount Talbot, Athleague, Co Roscommon, was the driver of a car which collided with another car and mini bus.

Gardaí said Mr Finnerty died from his injuries at the University College Hospital Galway, where he was taken following the accident at Clooneen, in Athleague.
