Cowen warns Grealish HSE cuts 'have to be made'

The Taoiseach Brian Cowen is warning Noel Grealish the Government has to stick to the budgets available.

Mr Cowen has said he will respond to the Galway West TD who has written to him withdrawing his support from the Government.

Deputy Grealish is unhappy at proposed budget cuts in the HSE's West region, though appears to be willing to strike a deal, saying his "door is open".

Speaking at the University of Limerick, Brian Cowen warned the cuts simply have to be made.
