Cork man charged with murder over refuse chute body

A 27-year-old Cork man has been charged with the murder of a homeless man whose body was found dumped in a refuse chute in the city earlier this year.

David O'Loughlin of City Gate apartments, North Main Street, Cork was charged with murdering 59-year-old Liam Manley at City Gate Apartments on May 12.

A Garda told Cork District Court Mr. O'Loughlin made no reply to the charge after caution.

The accused was granted free legal aid and remanded in custody for a week.
