Cork call centre to create 250 new jobs

A call centre in Cork is set to announce plans to create 250 new jobs in the coming years.

Abtran is planning to create the jobs at a new innovation centre at its Bishopstown facility.

The company, which carries out sales, customer service, administration, claims and financial management processing, already employs 600 people in the area.

Taoiseach Brian Cowen and Foreign Affairs Minister Micheál Martin are in Cork to officially announce the new jobs later today.
