Constituency office of Labour minister vandalised

The Dublin constituency office of the Minister of State for Equality, Aodhán Ó Ríordáin, has been vandalised.

Mr Ó Ríordáin posted a tweet showing the words 'scum' and 'traitors' written across the door.

A light brown substance also appeared to be smeared across the door in Marino.

In his tweet, Mr Ó Ríordáin said: "This is getting ridiculous."

Staff in the minister's Dáil office said they had no information about the incident, while the constituency office itself appeared to be unattended this morning.

Attempts to contact Mr Ó Ríordáin were unsuccessful.
