CIF calls on Government to create jobs with National Development Plan

Construction Industry Federation director general Tom Parlon is today calling on the Government to begin rolling out the revised National Development Plan in a bid to create employment.

The CIF says the sector is in grave difficulty, with mass unemployment an ongoing issue.

The federation estimates since the start of the downturn the numbers working in the industry have fallen from a high of 280,000 to below 130,000.
