Christmas travellers urged to check public transport timetables

Bus and rail passengers are being reminded to check timetables before they travel today.

Dublin Bus say normal weekday services will operate up to 9pm tonight.

Irish Rail have warned that most train services will terminate by 9pm tonight and that a Saturday service will operate across DART and Dublin commuter trains.

Luas passengers are also being advised that there will be no service from 8pm Christmas Eve until 9am Wednesday December 26.

All Bus Éireann/Eurolines cross-channel services are cancelled. Normal Monday services will operate with some exceptions.
