Children's minister announced €900k investment in childcare training

€900,000 is to be spent on support training for childcare staff.

The Minister for Children has announced that the money is to be provided to Early Childhood Ireland and Border Counties Childcare Network.

This funding will provide subsidised support to 630 existing childcare staff to meet the new qualification requirements under the eight-point Pre School Quality Agenda.

The training schemes are due to start before the end of the year.
