Cannabis worth €380,000 seized at Rosslare

Revenue officers in Rosslare Europort seized 62kg of cannabis resin with a street value of €380,000 today.

Following routine profiling, with the help of detector dog ‘Ralph’, the drugs were discovered in the floor and boot area of a car that had disembarked a ferry from France.

A 40-year-old Lithuanian man was arrested at the scene by An Garda Síochána and was brought to Wexford Garda Station for questioning.

Investigations are ongoing with a view to prosecution.
