Cannabis growhouse discovered in Monaghan

Two women have been arrested following the discovery of a cannabis growhouse in Co Monaghan this evening.

Some €500,000 worth of cannabis plants were seized during the planned search of a business unit on the outskirts of Castleblayney.

The location has been sealed off for a technical examination.

The women - one in her 20s and the other in her 30s - are being held at Carrickmacross Garda Station.
