Cabinet ministers prepare for St Patrick's Day trips

Members of the Cabinet are to head to America, Europe, Asia and Australia for this St Patrick's Day.

The Taoiseach will visit Chicago, New York and Washington DC during a six-day trip.

Tánaiste Eamon Gilmore goes to Canada while ministers Joan Burton, Richard Bruton, Jimmy Deenihan and Frances Fitzgerald will travel to US locations.

Justice Minister Alan Shatter will go to Australia and New Zealand, while Minister Brendan Howlin is on his way to Singapore.
