Buses back in action after two-day strike - but more stoppages loom

Buses are back in action today after the two-day drivers' strike - but they could be off the road again later this month.

Drivers at Bus Éireann and Dublin Bus have warned there could be five more days of work stoppages in the coming weeks.

The first 48-hour strike began in the early hours of Friday morning with up to one million people affected.

Management at the two transport companies are calling on unions to return to the talks table to try to discuss plans to privatise 10% of all routes.
