Boys more likely to be caught cheating during Leaving Cert

Boys are more than twice as likely as girls to get caught cheating in the Leaving Cert.

Figures from the State Exams Commission show over two thirds of those who had their results withheld last year were male.

In the last three years, 267 students were judged to have been cheating.
